Back in IN
We have been back in IN for a month or so now, and Matt has already had an interview in NJ... Now, he has another one (Second one at the same place). There is a possibility of moving back, which would kind of suck since we just moved back and wasted so much money in that aspect :( Hopefully everything works out for the best!

Rainy day
Woke up this morning to Jada whining, so being a good dog owner I got out of bed and grabbed some clothes to take her out. Well, the second I got out of the bed, SHE TOOK THE BED... This little girl whined to steal my spot, lol. Since she went to sleep and I was already up, I decided to shower and get ready for the day. After the shower I ended up taking her out in the RAIN, had I known it was raining I would have taken her out and then showered, but did not work out that way.
See, not so nice out... You can not even see NYC it is so gross. We were going to go hang out in the city today and eat a Falafel from a cart, but the weather changed out plans. Now Matt is sleeping next to me and snoring away as I sit here bored. On the plus side, we are going to IN soon!!! We are driving too so we can bring Jada with us. This way, we can stay however long we feel like staying. Matt has an interview on Friday and Purdue with Caterpillar and then I have a panel interview with Meijer next week sometime for a management position. I am excited! We need jobs :(

Dog Park Drama
The dog park has produced some dramatic stories I find worth posting... First, here are some pictures
It was a bright sunny day, so I decided it was time to walk Jada to the park to get some energy out. As I approach the gate, I hear a man yelling at this woman with two dogs about how big of an idiot she is. Well, I thought for sure one of them would leave, but I was wrong. I let Jada run around for half hour while this chick sat on the bench crying holding her dog. I am not sure why she stayed sitting there? If I would have been yelled at, I would have left!
OUTCOME: Apparently people have had issues with this lady many times before because her dogs gang up on other dogs and she does nothing about it. Instead, she sits there on her phone faced the other way! Sorry, but you are not supposed to go to a dog park and not pay attention to your dog... Later that same day, I ran into the guy yelling at the girl and he mentioned he only got upset because it keeps happening and on that specific occurrence the dog being attacked was being held in the owners arms and still being bit. I understand to extent that dogs can play rough, but there is huge difference between play and attacking! When the owner of the other dog is uneasy, it means back your dog off regardless if they are playing. It is still their dog and have the right to not be roughed up if they do not wish too.
So Kat is not an actual cat walker, she walks dogs. The problem I have with this situation is that she has 12 aggressive dogs that she is trying to "rehabilitate". Jada is not necessarily aggressive, but she is dominate. So when Kat's dogs go off on Jada, she acts back. There was one instance where Jada and Jamison were playing just fine, but Kat started interfering with Jamison and getting into his face so he attacked Jada. Well, Jada won of course because Jada always wins fights. She does not start them all, but she can definitely end them. This is what gets me into trouble!!! Even though Jada does not start MOST of the fights, because she wins people automatically assumes Jada is at fault. THIS PISSES ME OFF!!! Just because my dog is stronger and more fierce than your dog, does not mean it is her fault the fight happened in the first place.
Second occurrence I had with Kat, happened while I was in Indiana and John watched her for the week. I guess Jada got into it with Roxy, Kat's personal dog, and made a tiny cut. Kat took Roxy to the vet the next day because the dog was tired and threw up her food. Now she is trying to get half the vet bill from John when it is not my or his responsibility to pay for it (Primarily because dog parks are "at your own risk" establishments, because dogs are unpredictable)! I am sorry they got into a fight, but from personal experience it is because you were interfering and made the dogs turn aggressive. Dogs do not like people in their face regardless of who it is, especially in an already stressful situation.
Crazy Lady

LESSON LEARNED:
Because Jada looks like a wolf and always wins, it is automatically my fault even though the other dog started the fight in the first place.
I am not saying Jada has never started a fight, but for the most part, she is just ending them. I know she is not perfect, but comparatively she WAY better than most dogs. Of the times she has started the fight, 100% of them involved a toy brought into the park... In Indiana, we are smart enough to have a sign of rules at the door of the park so you know common practices. The main two: NO TOYS and ONE DOG PER HUMAN. I have a HUGE problem with dog walkers being allowed to use the dog parks, even though most people are working throughout the day because if there is a fight, there is NO WAY you can control 12 dogs. This is referring back to Kat. After Jamison started a fight with Jada, Kat's entire pack of dogs attacked Jada!!! You do not see me trying to get anything in return for that stress she was put through. I understand crap happens and decided to stay away while idiot dog walkers/trainers are there! However, in the case of the 12 dogs attacking Jada, she still won. Therefore, its my fault it happened.
I am excited to leave Hoboken, granted it is a cool place but I HATE THE PEOPLE (for the most part) because they are retarded. They do not know how to think like a human being. Here, dogs are not dogs and kids are just objects. Even if Matt get's this job at Morgan Stanley, we are moving out of Hoboken... More than likely we would move to Jersey City, it is much more quieter there. If we do end up moving back to Indiana at least the dog park will be grass and 3 acres rather than a small box full of cat litter.
The Today Show
We went to the Today Show shortly after Matt quit so we wore shirts and made a sign advertising we needed jobs... We were shown on TV briefly, but in all the online versions they cut out the crowd. Anyway, here are some pictures from that day.
Waiting in line for the show....
Crazy crack head we were standing by
I love how creepy people get when seeing someone famous
Prime example
Notice how she pushed Matt back
We were hoping the guys would notice his shirt, they didn't
Statue of Liberty
I am a little behind on posting... so here are some pictures from when I went to Statue of Liberty with Aja and Steve the first time they were here. At the time, Matt was actually in that second black building closest to the water. He had a good view, but a crappy job...
Natural History Museum
While Aja and Steve were in town we made our way to Natural History Museum (The one where "Night at the Museum" was filmed). We took the train in and met them at Uno's by Central Park then walked over to the museum. Matt and I had not eaten so we stopped at one of the side carts and got gyro (They pronounce them Ji-rows) While we were eating Aja and Steve made friends with a squirrel.
He was so cute... After we gave him food, we ran and hid by his tree. Anyway, after we got done eating we went inside and managed to only pay $3 for the four of us to get into the museum. The lady at the ticket desk was tired and wanted to go home, so that is all she charged us! It was originally $16/person, so we really lucked out :) Here are a few things we saw:
This is in the movie...
Lynn used to make those pom-pom creatures, this reminded me of her
Matt was peeing in the water bowl, he saw it fitting
I am not sure, but I do not think they had bouncy balls and pennies back in mummy times (I found them in the tomb)
Dum Dum like Gum Gum (or Rum Rum, lol)
This is where we went our separate ways...
Overall, we had a great time!!! I like when Aja and Steve are here because it gives us someone to hang out with! This post is a little late but I figured I would post it prior to forgetting everything.

Ugh
I am not really upset, nor am I really happy. Not sure if that makes sense, but I am kind of in between.
Matt and I are both looking for jobs and it is really proving to be stressful on both of us. Especially Matt since he so motivated to succeed. If only hiring managers knew he made a 3.0 with having a severe head injury 3/4 his college career! I am continuously impressed with what he can achieve, I just wish he saw how great he is!

If only hiring managers knew he made a 3.0 with having a severe head injury 3/4 his college career! I am continuously impressed with what he can achieve, I just wish he saw how great he is!
Matthew's Situation:
Lynx Capital is based solely on commissions from the trades he makes in a month. Therefore, if he loses more than he makes or if the trading fee's out weigh his gains, he does not get a paycheck. He went into this job knowing it was 100% commission based, but he did not realize the amount of fee's there were going to be on each trade. Pretty much, if he loses money Lynx still gets paid per trade. Matt's trading style is completely different from what Prop firms want. Matt likes to pick a quality stock and sit with it for a while, not necessarily long term, but longer than day trading.
As a requirement prop firms require a deposit so you have something on the line and you do not make stupid trades, a capital contribution. Well what Matt noticed, is that people were going through their capital contribution and then being fired. So say he gave them $5000 of his own money, when he closes the day negative, it comes out of that deposit. Therefore, once you blow through your contribution check, they have no reason to keep you and they fire you. They did not lose any money on you because you paid for your loss up front and they made money on each trade you placed in the time you worked there. So, in essence, you paid them to not get anything in return. Well, come to find out, no one has received a paycheck since January. That is how hard it is to get a check!!!!
Matt decided while he still has more than 75% of his contribution check available, that he quit before he rushes through it and gets fired. So now we are living in Hoboken with no jobs, but on the bright side this is the best place for him to seek out jobs. It is just unfortunate that so many others are here looking to accomplish the same thing he is!!! He is smart, I have no doubt in his ability to succeed. Yeah it sucks Lynx turned out to be sort of a scam, but he learned he does not want to be a trader. That is huge for him because he has spent the last two years solely looking for trading positions. Now he is focusing on finding a salaried position with benefits. He is still doing what he loves in his free time since he trades on his Scottrade account, but there are no fee's!
My Situation:
Ever since I got out here I have been looking for jobs. I have had two interviews, one with the W hotel and the other with Office Depot doing a corporate sales, neither of which I landed. After going to the interview for the Office Depot I realized it was not really what I wanted to do anyway. Whenever a position requires cold calling, I really do not want any part of it. Another thing he mentioned was going into random businesses across NYC and try to sell products to companies that way. So, in other words, I would be walking alone vulnerable in NYC and going to into strange companies I know nothing about? No thank you, it does not really seem safe! The more I thought about the position, the more I realized it resembled USANA. If I was going to accept that position had I been offered, I might as well get off my butt and make more money with my USANA business! I do not have to walk into strange places nor do I have to call 100 RANDOM people a day. Yeah, as a quota I would have to visit 25 random companies and have a scheduled meeting with 8 others on MWF's, then TR's I would need to cold call 100 random people trying to sell products (those numbers are per day)...
So I have decided to get off my butt and work on USANA. I went to school for marketing so this is the perfect company for me to work for. I think I got discouraged because I really did not need to go to college for this position, but it helps! I see that now, even though I could have started this without wasting money on college, I feel I bettered myself by going and I think I could market myself better to others having gone to school. It makes me more creditable. I already have everything to start, so why not?
So wish us luck with this job search thing! Hopefully Matt gets more nibbles from creditable companies. He is starting to get discouraged. I see his point, its expensive here! Everything happens for a reason though, we will figure out our reason :)

Life in Hoboken
It has been a week since I have been back in Hoboken. I went home June 23rd for my graduation party and did not end up leaving until July 2nd. I was going to go back sooner, but Grandma ended up staying at our house and Matt's car was not ready to be picked up from the paint shop in West Lafayette. My break was not so much a break because I am not doing anything now and I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off while I was home. First, the morning after I got home I had to take Matt's car to West Lafayette to get the convertible replaced, then they called Friday saying I could come pick it up... Although, after the top was replaced, I needed to take it across the street to get painted. So I pretty much drove two hours to drive the car across the street. The rest of Friday consisted of last minute shopping for the party.
Saturday was the day of my graduation party and I had a blast! I was able to meet family I have never met before, which was really nice! I love being with family so it was nice meeting ones I actually got along with :) Then I also got to see family I have not seen in a while... We turned my graduation party into a Linsemeyer/Dysard family reunion (mom's side). I wanted to see everyone before I left... Then from Dad's side I had my Uncle Vic and Aunt Pat come, which I have always enjoyed their company. Uncle Vic is one of 16 kids, YIKES!
Some of the Linsemeyers
Martin people
So after the graduation party, I was able to spend some time with Kim and the kids at their friends house. Then back to crazy schedule! We found our dirt bike paperwork and realized we had a warranty on it still! So, the next project was to drive the dirt bike to Valparaiso to get that fixed prior to me leaving. Luckily, Dad agreed to pick it up so it did not matter when it was done. We just found out yesterday it was an easy fix, THANK GOD!!! Wednesday I went with mom to babysit, which was fun. We went to the zoo and the Long Beach Country Club...
This is Patrick, he is so stinking cute :) He is so much fun to be around. He made me laugh when he was looking at the birds... Here is that picture!
My main goal was to get back to Hoboken for the NYC fireworks, which I was fortunate enough to accomplish. I rented the trailor for the corvette and we took off Friday night. (The paint shop took forever!!! He told us to get there at three and the car was not ready until 8!!!) So we left at 8PM to head to NJ. Needless to say we pulled over for a couple of hours to sleep. I could not drive the truck to help my dad at all because Matt's car would probably end up off a cliff somewhere if I drove. Jada was fantastic in the truck. Took her forever to stop surfing the middle counsel, but she was good. (I think dad was about to throw her out of the truck if she did not stop surfing)
I am here now, looking for a job! I interviewed at The W hotel across the street, which I am crossing all fingers I get... It will be fun there, I like the atmosphere and the perks :) We can stay in any W/Starwood hotel for only $30-60 a night. (Family too)...

Graduation!
I graduated FINALLY!!! It took 5 long years and the most crazy up/downs imaginable along the way. A motorcycle accident... A wedding... A move to West Lafayette... We have accomplished so much in the last five years, that Matt and I have not only grown as individuals, but as a couple as well! We are almost done and less than 2 weeks away from moving to Hoboken!
Thinking to myself: DO NOT FALL!
Yay! Done!!!
Jax wanted to be part of the festivities :) Goofy dog!
Matt is finished June 11th, so our move date is set for June 14th :) We are leaving with the Uhaul on the 13th though since it is a 13 hours drive! Then on the 23rd, I am flying back to IN for my graduation party/family get-together... I am super excited for this month!!!
