Disney's Give a Day, Get a Day

Matthew and I are volunteering this week to help out the community, on top of it we are getting a FREE Disney ticket! It only takes two hours of your time so it is completely worth it! Not that you need an excuse to volunteer, but it certainly does sound good to go to Disney for free :)

Sick, Bleh

I highly doubt there are devout followers, but if there is... Sorry I have not written anything :( I have been sick this past week and the week before I had migranes... Not really up to looking at the screen for long periods of time.

NYC update: We shipped out all of Matt's paperwork. I feel bad for the person who goes through them all because I went through them while I was sick this week and accidently sneezed on a few of the pages :0 lol... I am hoping we filled out everything satisfactory! This is first test of compentence! Or at least that is how I would gauge filling out confusing paperwork like that. I think the most confusing part was that not everything pertained to Matt since he is a new trader. Most of the paperwork was for transfers from other companies.

Once he hears back that all his paperwork went through, we will know the date of his test for the series 7. Once he passes the test he will be able to go to NYC to work. I want to have an apartment by June 20th. That way Matt will have a week to get settled and used to his surroundings. (That is, if he starts promptly on July 1st.) Plus too, if we are moved in my June 20th Aja and Steve will be there so they can visit us. I want to be able to get Jada accustomed to the surroundings too because she is NOT a huge fan of unexpected noises!

Well, I am feeling like death... So I will speak to you soon!

JADA IS HYPER

So today was better! Woke up with a couple of inches of snow with more throughout the day... Winter is okay, but I would much rather live without it! I know NYC is going to be crazy with snow and the fact I have to walk in it everywhere is a little depressing.

I want to start looking for flights for my mom and I to go out there. I need to find an apartment, but first we need to get Matt's 110 pages filled out and correct before we make final plans. Once he gets his paperwork filled out and an exam set up for the Series 7 certification, we will know when we are leaving! I have not exactly told everyone I am leaving... I need to tell Kathy since she thinks I will be babysitting this summer. I just think it is better to wait until we finalize everything. That would suck to tell them and then something fall through. I know it will not fall through, but better safe than sorry.

Matt took my RC car completely apart! There are parts spread everywhere on the computer desk, and now he is trying to put it back together by his memory alone. He has blueprints of the car, but they are kind of unclear. They are black and white and on the computer. I think he can do it, but it is going to take some time.

I am going home this weekend, my parents are picking me up on Thursday so I can go to Jack's birthday party. Then Sunday Kathy is going to bring me back since Andi has a meet here then. It works out kind of nicely in terms of rides. I look forward to going home... I need to take advantage of going home while I am only 2 hours away. Once they move to FL and we move to NYC, there is going to be a HUGE difference in time of travel. Luckily NYC is a main airport and so is Orlando, so it should be fairly cheap compared to other destinations.

Well I better go, I am watching a movie that I need to apparently pay attention too. It's INK, strange movie to say the least! There is a dreamworld and ordinary world and the dream world protect the normal world. I am not sure what is going on as of right now!

Didn't Switch

So the switching of classes was unsuccessful because the lady in charge of PES (Physical Education) courses would not let me sign into them! She said since they are attendance based, she will not allow me to take them this late in the semester. We are only 4 weeks into the semester, but yet it is apparently too late despite the fact that I talked to both of the instructors and worked out something to make up the missed time. Whatever, I hate people on power trips!

On the plus side, I am going home this weekend for Jack's birthday party and then coming back Sunday to watch Andi's gymnastics meet. Hopefully will figure something out to do on Saturday so my Mom and I are not just sitting at home doing nothing all day. Even if we paint the bathroom or something, it would be something.

Graduate in 12 weeks! I can not wait for this time to fly by so I can get on with our lives... We are going to be bringing Jax down here while Matt is in his Maymester class. Mom will have to be without him for a month :) She will be fine, we will miss him when we leave for NYC so we are stealing him while we can. If weather permits, Matt and I might drive out to NYC in March to look for apartments and then drive through Canada to see Niagra Falls on the way home. I highly doubt the weather will be fine enough to drive North with a Corvette though, so I doubt this trip will actually happen. I am still going to be going out there in May with my Mom to either start looking for apartments or to get some stuff organized before actually moving.

Depending on when Matt passes his series 7, determines when we actually move up there... He gets done with classes June 12th so I will be here until then at least. I will keep you updated. Later...

TODAY SUCKED!

So today has been eventful! Woke up this morning and started making a new mac-n-cheese recipe, which turned out amazing! You should try it! http://allrecipes.com/PersonalRecipe/62276406/5-Cheese-Mac-n-Cheese/Detail.aspx

Was taking Jada out to the car to head home and she about ripped my arm off.

Then got back to school and started doing my Econ homework and realized, yet again, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND ECON! I am going to drop the class tomorrow, which means that I drop a minor. It is not worth the hassle when I am graduating in May. I have never understood econ so I knew this would be a battle, but just not this bad! I try to do the homework but I get stressed out, then matt gets stressed out... Again, not worth it :)

Lastly, I went out to the car to get my phone and I fell down the stairs because it was icy! Skid down on my butt and scrapped my hand on the railing trying to catch myself...

Hopefully tomorrow is better and I get into those two classes I want to exchange with the econ class! I skipped the homework tonight because I am so fed up with this class... She teaches like we are idiots. She refers to previously classes instead of reteaching the material. Sorry, but I took that class 5 years ago! I do not remember what was taught!

Home...

Got home late last night for dad's bday... we went out to Blue Chip. Mom and Dad lost $20 and I won $20, so I told them to just think of it as giving it to me instead of BC. We did not get out of there until 2 am! I never stay out that late, I'm old at heart :)

I made him Cupcakes the other day before I came here. He thought I bought them! Then today we went out to Famous Daves and got food. Dad decided to go the long way to South Bend so it took FOREVER!

Well Matt is waiting for me to leave, so no eventful updates...

Heading Home...

Today is Dad's birthday so we are heading home soon to go hang out with him! I am waiting on a package from Snapfish, but apparently UPS shipped the package to USPS so instead of it getting here when the UPS guy was here, it is now sitting at the USPS office waiting to be unpacked tomorrow! Lame, I really wanted to bring it home too so I could show my mom :( All well I guess. Hopefully they will not leave it at the door since if it gets wet it will be ruined...

Filling out the Paperwork and Getting Started

So yesterday we went and printed off all of Matt's paperwork he needs to fill out in order to work at Lynx Capital and it is 110 pages of stuff to read and fill out! He is truly signing his life away, lol. He will love working there though! All the people he will be working with are his age and very outgoing from what he saw at his interview. This will be a good transition into the work place for him! He needs somewhere fun to work. He is so passionate about trading he will finally have people around him with the same aspirations.

You see Matt in the picture?

Hopefully, we can get as many visitors to come see us while we are there. And I hope I find a job ASAP, so I can start making some doe when I get there. I want to have at least a month without working though because I will need to transition Jada into a louder environment. She is not really into loud noises so this will be interesting. I know I am going to go and get her a cage though so she will have a safe place to go. She is much more outgoing when she has this space available. As soon as we made a cave for her in our closet she is nothing but playful and outgoing. We should have done that sooner, we thought she was lazy for the longest time because all she did was sleep for 20 hours straight and would not play with us at all. Gotta go to class, peace!

Finding an Apartment

I knew finding an apartment would be difficult, but this is insane! I need to find an apartment that is not only reasonable in price (<$1500/Month), but it needs to be safe, have an elevator, and by a decent amount of grass for Jada. OH yeah, they also need to accept dogs... At least we will not be going there for a while so I have about 13 weeks to find an apartment that fits us and our needs. I plan on going out there in May to go and actually LOOK at them. Hopefully my parents will be able to go as well, so I am not alone :) lol... I will keep you posted on our journey into the real world!
